Interns participate in the animal necropsy service for laboratory animals housed within the University as well as cases from the Maryland Zoo, National Aquarium in Baltimore, and local practitioners.
They are assigned small research projects that can be completed in the short time they are here, aiming to complete the project and present a poster at the ACVP meeting.
Students work closely with DVM’s participating in the postdoctoral fellowship program in Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology.
Necropsy rotation will be two to three days a week.
